Very interesting both on the actual fighting and a pilot's career. With no claim to literary style, the book is still captivating. However, a reader interested in politics should rather swich that filter off: Dan Hampton's account reflects the 90's mindset and rings somewhat outdated in a world where Iraq is shqmbles qnd airstikes in Syriq qre being conducted by Russians. The most qnnoying qspect of the book is the author's contempt for anyone except US fighter pilots (even though one can assume that fighter pilots have to be like this) and especially the "Arabs" (not only the Iraquis he fought but also the Egyptians he trained) and a particular dent against the French and anything they produced.
